We are 2 weeks away from our special shareholders' meeting to approve the pending acquisition by big O. The DOJ and FTC already gave a resounding 'thumbs up'. No one has a doubt. Think the last hold out is the EU.
My thoughts ebb & flow between, do I want to join them? How would i like the place/culture? Or, should i take the money & run? and after that?
What if there's not a good fit in the new parent company? What if there just isn't a match?
Or, should i just suck it up, get in at whatever level, and work my way around there?
In my conversations with some co-workers, they too are having this similar ebb-and-flow.
If I do get the severance, that would be good fortune. I could take a month off. Travel. Visit friends. Then start a business. Consult? Build something. Buy a business?
